Firepower .45 Metal Slide Airsoft Gun Full Review
Small enough to carry and easy to handle, the Firepower .45 metal slide spring airsoft pistol is fast becoming the weapon of choice. Yet size isn’t the main attraction, but the firing velocity. This weapon has a shot velocity of 328 fps or over 223 miles per hour, using a .12g BBs. Coupled with an improved, long-distance shooting accuracy, the Firepower .45 Spring Airsoft Pistol definitely has the firepower that serious airsoft enthusiasts look for in a weapon.
Design
This pistol is built to work as a quick side arm pistol, with a size and design that offers quick and easy draw, and slide cocking action. Place it in a belt holster or somewhere accessible, and you won’t have a problem taking the gun out and shooting at a target.
Unlike other airsoft pistols, the metal slide of the Firepower .45 Spring Pistol adds a realistic weight and feel. As if the pistol doesn’t look realistic enough, it is fitted with a metal slide that mimics what a real .45 pistol would look and feel in your hands. So even when the rest of it is made of ABS plastic, the metal slide gives it a sense of authenticity.
It has an overall length of 8.5 inches, barrel length of 4 inches, and a weight of 1.4 lbs. It is pretty compact for a weapon of its kind. 12-round magazine completes this masterpiece. The Firepower .45 metal slide Airsoft pistol is ideal for skirmish.
Performance
A skirmish only involves small bodies of troops, which means you can easily become a target a few minutes into the game. This is why you need a weapon that you can easily draw, use and reload. The Firepower .45 Airsoft pistol is a spring-piston air gun, which is the easiest to shoot, maintain and own. Simply “break” the air gun in half at the breech, release the safety and shoot. The compressed stout spring will then release the tension that holds the whole work in place, and push a column of air forward that will propel the pellet out.
Thanks to the BAX hop up system, this Firepower pistol boasts of improved accuracy. As you probably know, the BAX system is shaped like a V turned upside down. The design not only gives the BB a lift, but also provides the correct drift, whether left or right. So even without a scope, you have a great chance of hitting your target.
This pistol is also equipped with a fully functional safety switch to keep you from accidentally wasting one of the BBs in your 12-round magazine.
What it lacks
Of course, the Firepower .45 metal slide airsoft gun isn’t perfect. It doesn’t have a rail accessory where you can add extras for the gun. The front sight could also use a bit of shaving off, so it wouldn’t catch on a holster. It is not scopeable, and doesn’t have a butt plate.
But spring piston air guns are very reliable. And when the spring goes through wear and tear, replacement and piston seal change are relatively easy and cheap. So even with a few missing parts, the Firepower .45 metal slide airsoft gun remains a great choice for a skirmish weapon.
