A few airsoft enthusiasts may not take to an AK like a duck to water, but most of them changed their minds when they got a hold of the G&G RK-47. It has several amazing features that came as a surprise where an AK design and construction are concerned. Made of different materials, such as faux wood and metal or metal and plastic, it gives airsoft players a couple of options to choose from. But if there’s anything that makes it a must have in your airsoft arsenal is the undeniable fact that it shoots beautifully.

As a less expensive version of the Big Brother rifle, the G&G RK-47 definitely performs well for its price and offers a much better quality. Apart from an impressive look and design, it comes with several advantages.
Advantages of G&G RK-47
- Rear Butt Stocks – To install the battery, all you have to do is to slide the butt plate off, slip the battery in and voila! You are done. With other AKs, where the batteries are placed in the middle of a gun’s body, putting it back together is sometimes time-consuming and difficult, but not with the G&G RK-47 with its rear butt stock.
- Several Battery Options – It is said to be able to accommodate large or custom batteries, but the recommended choice is an 8.4v large battery. You can try to fit in a 9.6v in the stock, but you might need to maneuver the wires within the stock. Note that the battery and charger are not included when you purchase the G&G RK-47, but that is the only other investment you have to make.
- Solid yet Light – Construction-wise the exterior of a G&G RK-47 is very solid, but still manages to stay on the light side. This makes it less bulky to handle and carry, unlike other AKs.
- Replaceable Magazine – If the 80-round mid capacity magazine does not meet your airsoft playing style, you can replace it with other high capacity magazines that can hold more than 600 rounds.
- Excellent Shooting Range – Shooting beautifully with a G&G RK-47 is hitting targets as far as 40 meters with minimal play with the hop unit, which you simply have to slide to and fro. In other words, it is very responsive.
- Easily Upgradable – Upgrading the magazine is just one of the things you can do with a G&G RK-47. It is also compatible with all standard AK accessories and upgrade parts.
- Affordable – As an economy version of more expensive AKs, the G&G RK-47 is priced surprisingly low. Its performance, however, is anything but cheap.
